I feel like doing a gun project.

I am one of those poor shooters out there that never gets to go to the range, even though I own 10 guns. Well, I decided today that I need another project to do so that I can spend some quality time with my guns at home. My last project was turning my SKS into an M1A look-alike, and I'm not quite finished yet, but all I need to do is take a trip over to a friend's to use his tools and I will be done. I also turned my 10/22 into an "AR-22" but that was just buying stuff and bolting it on.

Are there any projects or experiments you guys have done to make a gun more shootable/fun? I'm not looking to copy, I just need inspiration! I'm interested in seeing what other people have come up with in the crazy or even the not-so-crazy gun modding department.

Okay, SKS-M1A


I need to get a brake, take the bayo lug off, and cut the sight hood to form ears and I'll be done. I could easily turn it into a crazyhorse-esque one by adding a vortex brake made specifically for the yugo and leaving the sights hooded...but I don't like the crazyhorse as much.

Here's the "AR-22." Not terribly original, but I haven't ever seen one exactly like it.

Also, as a joke a friend of mine and I turned it into a cornershot knockoff. I still need to edit and post the video.
