Well, one of the high sides of being a sales rep is I visit most every town big enough to have Mom and Pop type stores.

I was in north Mississippi today, did a quick Google search after I was done with my appointment, and found a small gun shop.

He had 10k + small pistol primers and plenty of other primers. Still had at least a couple hundred pounds of powder, thousands of bullets and brass ect. All were marked at his normal prices from what I could tell.

Down in the Birmingham area where i live Small pistol primers are scarce so I picked up 1k for a buddy and few hundred for myself to replenish what I loaded last week.

The moral is: reasonably priced components are out there, you just might have to make a drive to a less dense population area.

Just went to Simmons Sporting Goods (down in Bessemer) on MLK day. Got 2K of the CCI 7.62 white box primers, 2k of the CCI SR BR, and 2k of small pistol. He limited me to two boxes on the small pistol primers because he was low on that. There was more large rifle and small rifle (the latter only in bench rest). All normal prices.
Lots of bullets except in .22 cal. Had decent deal on 30 cal FMJ box of 2100 on the sale table but I was already over budget. Interesting thing was he was telling me the primers they just got in was what they ordered in Sept.

Still had a bunch of powder, but not my flavors.
