Got a box from Powder Valley today with 8k ea of small rifle and pistol primers today. Just wanted to share the excitement. Now, if only I had time to load and shoot some.

Good deal. It looks like the shortages are starting to ease a little.

I'm in the same boat, finding time to shoot what I have loaded. I am busy moving horse fences for some construction projects around the farm to break ground in July.

I barely managed to squeeze in my bi-annual order late December.... looks like ill hold out just fine with a few thousand pistol rounds in reserve if tula primers are readily available on pv by late july. worst case scenario, my lgs has had win and cci spp and lpp in stock for $36/k. Come to think of it, I haven't bought anything since the crazy started except a pound of h110($19) and a couple hundred 110gr hornady 357 xtp's($16/100) just last month from my lgs.

Have fun, nothing like finally being able to pump out some rounds! I was plannin on that, but my lead supply(my only limiting factor) just told me today on my once monthly collection that they are under new ownership and have to send out all their wheel weights to be recycled into stupid car batteries... im at a loss :(

Glad to hear you got your primer order! But given the choice between: 1)having time but no components or 2)having components but no time, I'll take #2. :)

These days, components are sometimes as scarce as spare time.

Brand and specific primer?

Curious as to what type of primers are being brought in to clear backorders.

I have 10k Fed 205M (Small Rifle Match) on backorder at MSS. I'm seeing some folks get in CCI #400 (Small Rifle) and it looks like the backlog for this specific primer may eventually clear itself over time. With that being said, I talked to someone at PV regarding CCI #400 and they indicated that the backlog for CCI #400 is well into the 8 figures and it'll take some time to clear that backlog.

I'd assume tula. Mine are coming in tomorrow. They sold 10 mil (8 figures)in a few hours.

I received my order of 10,000 from PV yesterday as well. I'd like to land 10 thou Fed SP's and then I'd be all set for quite some time.

Yep, with people ordering 10K at a time, 10 mil only satisfies one thousand buyers.

How many thousand people you think are looking for primers?

I've got a backorder with PVI for Fed SPPs since Jan.

They shipped my VV powder when it came in, hopefully the Fed primers will show up before too many full moons pass. .

I went into Walmart this evening and found they had small rifle primers for 3.97/100. I picked up 200. I've had 222 cases on my bench since March, now I need to remember how I was going to load them.

Hooray for J_McLeod, hooray at last,
Hooray for J_McLeod, he's a horse's (butt) :D

Seriously - congrats.

Ain't it terrible when getting your hands on primers is a reason to celebrate?

OK, now that they are sitting on my bench, I'll pipe up - I got my PV order of 13K primers in --- hooray 7k SPP and 6K SRP. All Tula brand from the thread that was started here. I also got my box from Dunn's of 3 Ruger BX25 and 1 LCP mag.
Now the next item I'm waiting on is an order from RMR for 1K 147gr plated 9mm bullets. I ordered one of their t-shirts and got the order shipped the next day.
