I got back from a short vacation a couple of days ago and my daughter gave me a 12 ga. High Standard Riot gun. . . with a funky pistol grip! I tore it down and cleaned it up and then researched it. It seems to be a pretty good shotgun except for that *%##@* pistol grip!

So now I'm in the market for a standard butt-stock for it. My old Numrich catalog lists several but their website doesn't show them. I assume they're getting so scarce no one even lists them. Does anybody have any suggestions? I could "adapt" one from a different model as long as the long bolt-hole is already bored but I don't think I want to try boring it myself.

As the man at the foot of the off-ramp says on his sign, "Any help is appreciated."
 
The pistol grip is wooden. I suppose it could have been made in someone's garage or adapted from . . . ?

I have a pretty good 12 ga. of my own, a Savage. My wife has a Remington Model 11 (the Browning Model 5 clone) but she hates it and wants to trade for a 20 ga. I'd be willing to throw in my Savage pump to sweeten the pot and keep the HS for myself, it's smooth as glass and never seems to jam but I can't imagine anybody wanting a pistol grip like it has on it now. . . especially me!

Well, it doesn't have to be done today. I can think on it awhile and maybe someone can help me out.
 
The HS pumps are known for having an extremely smooth action. thats too bad Numrich seems to no longer have wood for them.
