Are you using metal feeders? the plastic types don't last too long around racoons, bears, squirrels... even the metal ones don't last long around bears.

I've seen metal "boat winches" & steel cables along with wooden or metal frames 10 - 12 off the ground used in Bear country with success. you will probably need to think your set-up.

Metal frame with a plastic barrel. These coons climb up the poles and grab onto the cage that covers the motor. We have some blurry pics and then think that they get up there and shake the hell out of the cage to get the corn to fall out.

My Pop used to have trouble with coons getting into his bird feeder and tearing it up. One night he got up and 3 of them were out there having a free for all with the feeder. Pop got up and put his slippers on, grabbed the Louisville slugger and out the door he went. The biggest coon stood up and tried to wave Pop off, he took a splat over to third base, the 2nd one got brave and growled at him, he took a homer Ol' Ruth would be proud of, the 3rd one took a foul ball to the fence, he crawled around a bit, then went to the showers. :what:
