The part of the engraving I'm talking about is the small stippling of dots atop the slide between the cocking serrations. As it rolls down over the slide towards the serrations, the dots neither fade out nor come to a sharply defined border. Again, only in that one small place do I have any quibble with the engraving. (Considering that the pistol is 100% engraved and I'm getting pretty anal about pistol aesthetics in my old age, that's a pretty durn good grade.)
I like paintings, too, but I prefer them to have frames, or at least stay on the canvas and not stray onto the wall here & there.
