I guess this time frame safety advocates will be choosing Beretta, and that's just strange...

No doubt the finish will be much nicer than 'bruniton' though. The bluing on my last HP was superb.

I would love to see a 1910 but the BDA is one of the best 380 shooters ever made IMHO.

I have shot them but never owned one.....

Beautiful. Are these from the '80s or '90s manufacturing, (I couldn't quite make out the code date)? The price looked a bit steep at $669 though. I missed one of these a month ago at only $400...I'm still kicking myself.

I guess they might compete with the 380 market but it is a totally different gun than the current 380 market of pistols. As in the 380s of today are pocket guns and that is bigger than a modern small 9mm.

Having said that I definitely prefer the BDAs and Cheetahs to the current trend of pocket guns that are all the rage these days. Trends comes and go though and I prefer the old to the new as it pertains to 380s.

That would be so awesome.

These are too big for .380, yada yada yada. But personally I think one thing all the macho guys here overlook is that these guns are perfect for a lot of woman, and some guys. These BDA's and the Cheetahs are much easier to handle than the smaller .380's, and also easier than small 9mm's. For example a bud has a light case of carpul, and has trouble with a 9mm unless it is a very large pistol, but can just about tolerate a larger .380.

While not perfect for CCW, I'd rather hand my wife something she can get some range time with.

While some may feel they are a poor choice, at least for some, it is an excellant option, and I think more options means a perfect gun is out there for someone.

Personally what would be super sweet is if they took the BDA here, with its classic looks, and merged it with the Cheetah by stealing the frame mounted safety. Droool!

To me its not about a defense weapon or carry. Its about a quality shooter with a long standing track record that simply works.

I personally find the min 380 auto no fun to shoot. Its about the same way I feel about a .357 mag airlight. Yeah it might be small but who the hell wants to shoot it more than once.

I think this thing is a great shooter. It is a great gun that fits a lot of people. It is a perfect gun to teach people on. It is not the pop pop of a 22 but not a 9mm either.

I like the grip because it is reminiscent of the BHP. Which is also sort of fat at the bottom.

Either way I am just putting some info out there for people to chew on.
