all you guardian owners out there, please tell me about it. reliability, durability, customer service, recommended brands of ammo. if any of you have any recommendations regarding some faux-pearl or faux-ivory grips(seriously, not joking), and a good pocket holster. anything i haven't mentioned, feel free to discuss. thanks. oh yeah, it is 380acp.

FIST makes the best pocket holsters i have ever seen. Paper thin Kydex. Instead of having a hook to catch your pocket, it has a thumb push to realese the gun, so you don't have to make a big jerkey movement.

I like mine. It's a bit abusive for extended firing sessions, so you'll have to split up your break-in over several range sessions. The trigger is nasty, but it is possible to master it. Mine is my everywhere gun. I just pop it (and it's holster in my front pocket unless I'm going to a courthouse or something). My favorite holster is the backpocket holster made by Ron Graham. I carry it in my front right pocket (looks like I'm carrying my wallet). Here's the link to Graham's stuff:

I also have something called a Holdster (similar to the old Galco wallet holsters that have been ruled as an NFA covered device, but the Holdster comes with a letter from ATF stating that this thing does not fall into that category). Here's the link:

I don't really like the trigger being uncovered so I don't use the Holdster as much anymore, but it works and works well. It's a good idea for either of these two options not to have anything else in your pocket.
This gun has significant recoil, so I wouldn't use any fancy grips like faux Ivory or Pearl. I'm willing to bet that after a few hundred rounds, they will crack around the gripscrews.

i wonder how long the gun should last. i know that the intended purpose of the gun is not for range fun, but i would like to know if it has an exceptionally short service life, or anything of that nature(due to recoil). thanks...

Great carry gun. I have about 500 rds. through mine with zero FTF's. (Car-Bon 90 gr.) The trigger pull is heavy, but once you master the pull the gun is very accurate. I carry mine in an Alker shark skin holster I ordered on the NAA web site. I stayed with stock grips because they are strong and slim for concealment.

I don't recall the blast being anything to write home about. I don't think there's anymore blast than one would expect out of a Walther PPK. What gets me is the bottem corner of the grip frame is driven directly into the center of my palm with each shot. After about 75 or so rounds, my hand hurts for several days. Recoil would be about like a .38 special +P out of a snub nose.
