My order from Brownell's came today with my standard guide rod and plug and the Ed brown 30 lpi MSH with all new Wilson parts and a Wolf 18# spring. I also got the Ed Brown extended mag base plates.

The only thing I don't like is that the MSH is blued and the gun is parkerized so the MSH stands out a lot more and doesn't quite match.

Here is a before pic and then 4 after pics.

Here it was the day I got it.

The wilson parts are the the internals for the MSH. I didn't use any of the ILS parts.

The rubber grips are only temporary until I decide which grips I want Haken to make me. :D

Blued/Parked-No Match

Want to turn a gray parkerized finish into a dull blue/black parked finish?

Easy...Takes about 20 minutes.

Get some Brownells 4340 Cold Blue paste. Degrease the slide and frame
with 90% isoprophyl alcohol...(Rubbing alky)....Apply the paste to the
parkerized finish liberally, and rub it in with some pressure. The parked surface will absorb it quickly, so keep it wet. Terrycloth towling is best, but an old T-shirt will do.

When the color is dark enough, wipe off the excess and stop the rusting process with a light oil...Reel oil will do. Presto! Black parkerizing that matches your MSH...

Shoulda put this'un on Quick Fixes...

Cheers!
