Post your pics of modifications or parts you've changed on your 1911's. I like new ideas.:D

Here are some of mine: Ed Brown bushing, Chainlink MSH, and 2 piece FLGR on my Eclipse Target II

I've got that same mainspring housing on my S&W 1911. I like it a lot better than the course aluminum one it came with.

I really like how the MSH matches the finish on that S&W. I didn't buy it for looks, but I still like it. I felt one at the gunshow and liked it better than the sharp checkering I had. It is very comfortable.

Springfield TRP Operator. I hand-fit an EFK threaded barrel and bushing, Wilson Combat FLGR and spring plug, and removed the ILS locking system and swapped in a lighter mainspring. Oh, and I added the YHM Cobra 45 too. :p

Here they are with your description

"Wilson Combat extended Slide release/lock, and the after market Guy Hogue un-checkered Rosewood grips, the LH side had to be relieved for clearance.

Les Baer Custome Stainless Steel Flat & vertcal
serrationed MSH

Oh, I've got a spare SS barrel from Jarvis Inc. in .400 CorBon, so the pics show two WIlson Combat
Elite Tactical SS mags - RH side Speer Gold Dot 230 gr. JHPs, & the LH side has .400 CorBon 155 gr. GD JHPs ( @ 1400 fps loading )"

Thanks Steelyblue

The WC extended slide release/lock as well as the LB MSH were both fitted by my gunsmith/ffl dealer who knows 1911s. He polished the inside
channel where the main spring moves as well as replacing the Main SPring cup in carbon steel with a Titanium replacement The hammer strut - a MIM part was also replaced with a Ti replacements part

All the parts probably totaled $100 + $40 fitting, but it made it my gun with the way I like it and more for fit, and look - THe WC extended slide release / lock does not hang up on anything and it's a simple flick of the thumb to gain purchase on it.

Ok, to be honest, the Jarvis SS Barrel doesn't work with the link as is, so
my next step will be to ship it up to Jarvis Inc. Hamilton Mt. and Bill Jarivs
and his shop can figure out how to get it working... there are different lengths to the link. I am also going to have them fit a Videcki adjustable trigger stop trigger and action job in it. The videcki trigger has the same
three holes as a stock S&W 1911 trigger.

Hey All 1911s IMO are WOrks In Progress RIght ?
