I know it is stamped on the barrel .308 but I was wondering what would be the best off the shelf round and size bullet grain to use; whether .308 or 7.62? For now just getting the rifle zeroed in at 100ft and having fun with it at the range.

I get very good results from 168 grain Sierras as opposed to 147-150 grain bullets which just shoot OK. Get some Federal or Black Hills match ammo and move that target way out there.

To see how well you and the rifle can group, the Federal Gold Cup match ammunition is the off-the-shelf standard. You pay for what you get.
