I love my Benelli SBE II.............. BUT

The blueing jobs on Benelli's has always been bad.

Since Benelli and Beretta's are owned by the same company (right)? ......

Can't they just use their "AQUA" coating from the Beretta Extrema II on the Beneilli's? (Even call it something else, even though of course, it's the same thing.)

:sniper:

Barrels on two Benelli's rusted.

After being cased for 1 hour. Came back from hunting in sunny, 80's weather.

If you don't have a "camo" sbe II, just get a can of Rustoleum flat black and go to work. Hi temp bar-b-que grill paint works great also.

What the???? Flat back rattle can paint on a $1300 gun??? I asked this in another thread and I couldn't get an answer (not trying to raise heck, I just honestly have no experience with the Benelli SBE's and want to know), but what makes this a $1300 gun??

The fact that that's what they charge for them. :neener:

LOL. Just kidding.

Two answers -

Best Pump Shotgun: Remington 870

Best Semi-Auto Shotgun: Benelli SBE II

Anyone who thinks a $1300 Benelli is a good trap or clays gun, hasn't shot a Beretta 391.

I have shot both. I would urge anyone considering the recoil operated system of the benelli to try a plain jane 391 for comparison.

As far as the rusting goes, breakfree clp shaken well liberally applied, let sit for an hour or two and then wipe off, repeat wipe down after field use.
