This last week 22 52 92 n 98 yards tonight was offhand at 22. This gun had the cheap synthetic stock and I replaced it with a used Boyds thumb hole that was cut for the bigger barrel... no issues free floating this one :) love this for residential suburbia. This hog was huge... all one shot drt

Nicely done. I put a Boyd's Thumbhole Stock on my Rem 700 221 Fireball. The more you shoot it the better you will like it.

Congrats on those nice 'chucks....... I'm gonna echo what flashhole said about those Boyd's thumbhole stocks. Got one on a CZ 455 in 22LR and the more I shoot it the better I like it. Although I wonder if hand size affects that because when I get my thumb into it my trigger finger is in perfect position and it feels as if that stock were custom made for my hand. But what if my hand was smaller, or larger than what it is? Would it still feel so perfect? I was never a big thumbhole stock fan until I actually tried a couple and now I love 'em.

while HM2 ammo is available here n there one does not hesitate if they find it :) I actually got 3000 rounds cheap right before the shortages began... I do not really plink with it so other than a few sight in rounds and a few targets it is mostly a pesting tool for me.

As far as the Boyds thumbhole stock I have several and will eventually add more :) My first was a 17hmr savage with one from the factory... I added this one and one on a contender carbine. I want to add a couple to some centerfire bolt guns eventually :)

Was in the LGS yesterday and they had a good selection of HM2 ammo in stock. First thing I thought of was this thread. Didn't notice the price though.
