i was offered a older pre choke tubed citori 20ga 3 " browning o/u with 28" barrels and straight stock in ex condition, but as i have a 12 ga upland special with 24" barrles and straight stock and ivicta tubes i told a friend who bought it and now i wish i had kept my mouth shut. the only good thing about it is i will see it from time to time when we hunt together. sorry, sorry. the price was 500.00. eastbank

That 20 gauge would have gone nicely together with your 12 gauge and at a decent price too. Oh well at least it went to a good home with your friend.

I'm a little confused.

Am I reading the OP correctly?

"A" has a shotgun for sale and offers it to "B".

"B" has a shotgun presumed to already fill the slot.

"B" mentions the offered shotgun to "C".

"C" buys the shotgun and now "B" is concerned that he may regret passing on it and is also apologizing to the rest of us?

Is that about right?

Todd.

i,m just crying in my beer, i,m glad my friend got the browning. but have you ever heard of not buying it remorse? well i have it,ha,ha. eastbank.

Oh yeah... "missed the boat" remorse - very familiar with that one.

Cars, boats, guns, motorcycles... hell, even a mule. I never really took too much solace in a buddy skunking anything on me as it would just be a reminder of me second guessing myself.

On the other hand, maybe he'll get to disliking the shotgun and you'll be Johnny-on-the-spot, eh?

Todd.

Even I feel bad

20 gauge with 3" chambers, 28" barrels and fixed chokes for $500. I have never seen anything near that price for that combination. Hell, I even feel bad for you. Tell him the barrels are way too long for him and you'll be glad to take it off his hands for $700. And that is still a good deal.

"Not buying it remorse"...never heard of that one before. I actually kind of like that! I felt that way on a S&W Model 1000 Super Skeet gun. Saw it on Saturday at a gun show, wanted to do some research on it, went back the next day and it was gone.

if i didn,t have these four brownings, three 12ga o/u,s and a 20ga double barrel i would have bought the 20ga o/u. hell if i only had three i would have bought it. i,m going to start on a plan to weasle it out of my friend hands, maybe i,ll offer to reload his shells and load 1/2 oz of #4 shot at 900fps and hope he tires of missing those long shots, then i will be kind enough to help him out and offer him 50.00 over what he paid for it. it would be a win-win for both of us, i would get a real nice shotgun and he would be getting rid of a bad shooting shotgun. eastbank.

Yes, at least you'll get to see the gun from time to time!
