I heard it was packed but I couldn't get out of my previous commitments. Does anyone know of some upcoming NC gun shows that would be worth attending? Although I live in Raleigh, I wouldn't mind traveling to Charlotte, Winston-Salem, etc., if the show was worthwhile.

Doh! My weekend schedule doesn't start to free up until September when the kiddos are back in school. Sigh...

you didn't miss much. it was a repeat of recent shows. however, i did pick up a nice lithgow smle. high ammo prices and dealers who seem more like collectors than businessmen. they haven't figured out that the days of gouging are no more. the fellow that i bought the smle was willing to deal and do business.

One in Greensboro the end of the month. The one in Raleigh wasn't much as someone said. Georgia Arms was selling some .380 ammo (limit 50 per customer) at a very reasonable price, don't remember exactly. Same ol, same ol.

If this year is similar to years past, the G'boro show would be worth attending. Of the 10 or so different gunshows I've attended, I'd rate it at the top in terms of variety (gun-related --not dadgum shoe polish and beef jerkey) and selection as well.

Be sure to check out Ed's Gunshop if you make it there.

The Charlotte show was horrible, I have come to expect better at Met. Expo shows. You didn't miss anything at all...better deals and just as good of a selection at any reputable local shop IMO. :)
