I need a rough price on this browning bar

I was at a pawn shop the other day and he got in a browning bar 7mm mag, it has a simmons 3x12x50 scope on it, absoultly perfect, the most beatiful wood I have ever saw on a rifle, he is asking $600.00 for it, What are these worth or cost new,

$600 is a reasonable price in California. I'd start negotiations at $540 and go from there.
