I got my Kimber barely used. I do believe that these are the stock grips.
If you are interested in some, I have a friend that changed the ones on his Kimber. I can check and see if he still has them and what he wants for them.

I kinda favor the wood grips, but then again the black doesn't look all that bad either.

OH YEAH......
1 PLUS about the rubber grips is that when you get a grip on the gun.....YOU KEEP IT. As i said before, your hands stick to them (not sticky like glue) and dont chew em up.

Does your choice have to be blonde or black? Get some cherry stain and have a go at it. Black looks good. Dark cherry looks good as well.

Black. Try a set of Hogue 1911 Palm Swell grips. Stainless screws look good with black grips.

I like wood, but YES the grips pictuered are far too blonde; so, stick with the
rubber or order a set of the "VOLUNTEER ORANGE" grips.

That looks cool. I wish I could do that myself.
I do think I will be looking into some much darker grips and/or SS screws. I have heard that Kimber only uses SS for thier parts and covers the ones that need to be black/blued etc.... How would I go about strippng that the black coating off of my screws?

well, that's kind of like asking somebody who is looking to buy a car to discern between whether buying the car with red paint or silver paint drives better and/or faster.

We're talking grips on the same gun.... not different guns.

Unless I'M mistaken.... which is entirely possible.
