I need help on a Iver Johnson

when was this gun made. gun is only a two digit serial number in 38 cal. it looks like the barrel has been shortened from the writing on top of the barrel. I hope the pictures tells the rest o the story THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

Late 2nd model, blackpowder cartridge based on the markings, trigger, and cylinder stops. I would guess 1898-1900.
