I need holster advice for concealed carry

I routinely carry a 4" barreled N frame. For years I used a Bianchi 5bh or Safariland equivalent. The Remington is roughly similar in size but that long barrel will be the hang up. If you shorten it, consider a holster similar to the ones I mentioned. A good belt is a must for any holster.

Another option might be a Pancake from Simply Rugged.

Mernickle has a holster for the Model P Colt.

I would council you to carry a cartridge revolver but I have been known to carry one of my 1860s so it is not unheard of.

Concealed? Must be a round butt version. I've carried mine (4" 629) in an Uncle Mike's #5 -for large autoloaders- pancake holster; but it's not very "conceal-able". Doesn't help that it's a square butt; and that, after trying several grips, I found that a Hogue Monogrip best "fits" me. Keeping it ina forward cant just behind my hip bone "hides" best; but only under a relatively heavy jack and it's literally a pain if I'm driving. Still, the grip "prints" if I zip up the jacket.

I'll have to try the UM pancake with my 5-1/2" Remington; but I can only imagine the grip frame will only be just as obvious.

Yep concealed. And it was a square butt. After a couple of years I rounded the grip frame and carried it that way for a while until I figured out I prefer the squared off frame. Now it is wearing a set of heavily modified S&W grips. S&W grips are great! They are prefit and have more than enough wood available to shape them as you need them. Regardless of what grips you use, if they don't fit your hand, remove whatever it takes to get them to fit.
