Open the message post window on this site and type your message. Put the cursor where you want the image to appear.

Go to http://photobucket.com/.
It's a free picture hosting site. Join and set up an account (it's free). Follow their instructions to upload your image file. Once it's uploaded, scroll down to where the image is displayed. You will see three button windows; click in the one that says Direct Link and the url address if the image on the Photobucket site will be copied to the clipboard on your computer.

Return to this site and the open message post window. Click on the image icon at the top of the window; a window will open asking you to insert the url of the image. Click in the window and copy the address into it (however one does that on a Mac). Click OK. The image url will appear in the message at the cursor location between two image delimiters. When you post the message the url will be replaced by the image from the Photobucket site.

You have to leave the image on the Photobucket site for as long as you want it to appear in the posted message; once it's deleted the THR server will not be able to find it and load it when someone attempts to read the message.

Be sure to log out of the Photobucket site when you are done with it.

You can also upload the picture right into thehighroad server by clicking on the "manage attachments" button near the bottom of the posting/editing box under "additional options".

Once you click on manage attachments, a new window will open and you then need to click on "Browse" to search your photo files (or wherever you store your pictures in your computer files) for the photos that you want to upload one at a time.
They must be smaller than the max file size listed in the upload key that you'll find under "browse".
Then click on "upload" to upload a picture.

After uploading each photo file, a URL address for the photo's "home" in the THR server will appear in the manage attachments box as a link to click on to access.
Click on the URL link for each photo that you want to enlarge within your post so that it appears in your main window. Once it appears, copy and paste the photo's URL that's in the address bar at the very top of the window. Then "X" out the photo window. Then go to the reply box window again and click on the rectangular yellow photo icon near the top of your reply to thread box. Then paste the URL address of the photo into the box that will appear and then click okay. The URL address will now appear in your reply to thread box.
However, there will be a double HTTP:// in between the image tags that look like this: HTTP://HTTP:// YOUR PHOTO'S URL ADDRESS

You must now erase or eliminate one set of the HTTP:// but not both sets.

If done properly, that picture will now post full size after you click on save in your reply window.
If not done properly, only a thumbnail of the upload photo will appear at the bottom of your post which will need to be clicked on in order for anyone to view it full size.

You need to repeat the same procedure for every photo that you want to appear full size in your posts.
Make sure that your cursor is located in the exact spot of your post that you want your picture to appear when you click on the image icon. Or else you will have to move the entire
by clicking and pasting it to where you want it to be located.

By doing it this way, your photo file size may be more limited than by using Photobucket, but the uploaded photo will stay on thehighroad server without using up all of your limited photobucket space over time.

Whenever you want to get rid of one of your photos, or add another one, just reopen "manage attachments" window and click on Remove or Browse to change your attachments. There is a time limit and there may also be a limit to the number of photos allowed in each post (6?), but I'm not sure. You can always add a 2nd post with another (6?) photos though. :)

If you use photobucket, you can also copy the box that says "Image Tags" next to it and paste it in the body of your message. This way you can upload photos without having to click on the add photo button.
