Ok, so I never post links to youtube, but I saw a clip I thought was just awsome. A guy shoots a cinder block with 9mm pistol, ar, ak, and shotgun slug. I was looking for videos of what a slug can really do, and it's unreal what a 1oz slug doing 1500 fps can do.

Outcome: with cinder block, the 7.62 * 39 and slug just destroys the block. Everything else was able to go through, but not bust it up. .223 definately tumbled through the second layer.

Oh well, sorry if you've seen this before.

ever shoot bricks? best targets there is. dont believe me shoot one lol

Since I got hit with a ricochet from a BB gun when I was a kid, I tend to avoid shooting fairly solid objects. Then again, haven't tried it since I've purchased actual firearms. Plus, the people at the ranges tend to frown upon shooting bricks...

Ive never seen a thread where someone was arguing a 12 guage slug or 00 wasnt enough firepower for HD,now we need a 12 guage pistol that is concealable and we can skip the 9mm vrs .45 threads.
Anyhow ive been a long time lover of the 7.62x39 as the AK was my second rifle i ever owned.I used it to punch perfect holes in 1/2" railroad spike plates and about dirtied my pants when i seen it.Im not saying its better than anything, just that it makes really good holes in thick stuff.

That's the "Firepower Rig" from Andrew's Custom Leather. They've got some interesting items over there, but be prepared to pay the price.

We usually fill cinder block walls with rebar and concrete. None of those guns are going to penetrate that. Hollow block walls suck.
