I have been looking for a J-frame for a while and finally found one this Saturday at a gun show.

I picked her up for 360 in nearly NIB condition Model 60 (no dash) for a 1967-8 vintage. Now I need to go shoot her!

What carry holster do people use for your steel J-frames?

My Model 60 is about the same vintage as yours. I use a Bianchi Shadow for belt wear and a Don Hume pocket holster. It depends on the season and how I'm dressed...........Essex

Congratulations !!!........your model 60 is sure handsome !

Regarding holsters for it, I use the functional and inexpensive Mika's Holster for pocket carry.......Rob's is very well designed and he is great to deal with.

Otherwise, I prefer OWB carry and use the nifty Blackhawk leather Speed Classic, an adaptation of the old Berns-Martin design; very minimalist, handmade of premium, wet-molded leather with a heavy duty elastic for a secure fit. It also has a trailing edge belt loop, to pull the grip in tight to the body. "Under a T-shirt, sweatshirt or suit coat, this will hold your snub-nose the way it was meant to be." If this interests you, search the web as they can often be found for about $7-$10 less than ordering directly from Blackhawk.

Nice. Those 1960s Model 60s remind me of how scarce they were during the Vietnam war, and of what a technological breakthrough stainless was at the time. Enjoy your new J.
