So with everything going on politically I decided now would be a good time to pick up a new AR. Sold my ancient (but very reliable) highly modified Smith and Wesson M&P 15 sport w/ La Rue Tactical quad rail etc to a buddy who wanted a black rifle. First impressions: LIGHT! Damn. Coming from a gun with a quad rail this thing is crazy-light. 6.5 pounds before optics/sights. I guess this is pretty standard but for me it's awesome. My old AR was about 7.8 pounds before optics. (I KNOW, quad rails are super outdated). Anyhow, here are the photos. I don't know when I'll be able to get to the range but I will soon to sight it in with my VCOG (I know this is also heavy but I'm NEVER getting rid of it). https://imgur.com/gallery/y16QeZp
If it starts out well under 7 lbs, you are on the right track. A good lightweight AR generally handles well.
Price paid: $950 + tax (Fifty bucks over MSRP, I still think the rifle is a steal for what you get). I've returned here after a long absence.
