Many years ago I was at a indoor gun range when a guy walked up to me & said " That's a purdy nickel plated gun ( Browning High Power P35) you are shooting BUT that punnie 9mm cartridge will never go over in this country" Good thing he was not betting his life on it!!!!!!

Many years ago (1977) I went to a range in Wiesbaden, Germany. While waiting for the range to open to try out my new Ruger Blackhawk a guy with a Model 27 who was waiting also mentioned he would wear out my Blackhawk before his S&W.

Same goes for 556. Clearly small caliber guns are all garbage.

Interesting when you consider that the most popular handgun cartridge at that time was the .38 Special, which is approximately the same diameter, slightly slower, although usually heavier.
