Depends... got brass drop tubes? Static electricity ain't your friend. Also, the 2F requires a compressed charge or it'll act like a shaped charge. Done correctly, it'd be somewhere close to original and probably enjoyable, but Unique/Lazercast is quick, easy, and user friendly.
 
There is a great pleasure and satisfaction ln fixing something that was once ruined.

Ruined is perhaps a bit harsh and judgemental. Perhaps the original owner was a "mountain man" and didn't have access to gunsmiths, parts, and hardware stores. Despite the bad condition, it appears it was still functional, I might give the original guy some credit for using what was available to keep the gun running.
 
Not my kind of rifle to begin with, but you did a remarkable job to bring it back to life. Tough work, but someone has to do that kind of restoration.
