I think I have a problem...

I can't pass up a deal on a gun.

I was in the market for a medium/big game rifle and decided on the Marlin XS7 in .308. I have only had a chance to shoot it once and I love it so far.

About a week after I got the Marlin I found some Stevens Model 200s on sale for $200 bucks. I had also thought about getting a .223 for smaller stuff so I went ahead and picked one up.

A couple days after I picked up the Stevens I found Mosin Nagant 91/30s "on sale" (read, at normal price) for $99. I had also been on the market for one of those.

Maybe I'm just "in the market" for any gun in my price range. Either way, this has been one of the best $630 I have ever spent.

Is anyone else finding any deals out there?

Lotsa deals right now. My local dealer has most hunting type long guns and five or six AR's at cost or less. Colt H-bar for $850 (gently used)

Black pistols are still moving very well.

It's your money, but I'm not going to get real nutty unless absolute screaming deals come along. IMO, there's gonna be more downside before we vote out the guys that are in office right now. Until then, I don't see the economy improving.
