I think I know why Crossbreed's design is well-liked.

Using a small iwb holster with a clip is fine for something light like a .380 or even a tiny 9mm like a LC9 or a Kahr.

But there is a threshold of weight that get's passed where the weight begins to bounce a bit too much for it to be comfortable and secure.

Crossbreed has a design where the weight of the gun can be more because it gets distributed out over that thick leather pancake which clings to your bodymass making the gun far more secure and likely more comfortable.

I'm glad they make this design, as the Desantis Sof-Tuck style iwb holster that worked wonderfully for my LC9 is too light and flimsy for my PPS .40 (I mean to say I bought the PPS version and it's just not sturdy enough in my opinion).

It's a good design. I think the Lord blessed him with a real vision for making holsters.

Well, there's a few reasons the crossbreed is well liked. Weight distribution is definitely one of them. Another reason is that some people like the faster presentation of kydex, but hate that it doesn't "bend" with your body. Plus, it's hard and (to some) uncomfortable up against your skin. Kydex also doesn't need to be broken in.

I own two and my wife own 1 Crossbreed Supertuck. I carry a small 9mm or a compact 1911 in my two. My wife is left handed and carries a 9mm in hers. I find them to be the most comfortable IWB holster out there however like all holsters they need a good belt. I use TheBeltMan exclusively and have for years now.

they HIDE the gun

I bought 2,one for the Glock [ 19,23,35,27 ] and they actually hide it under a 'T' shirt in 90+ degree weather.

The other is for a 2" J frame and it hides even better [ not needed as THAT hidden ] under nothing but a 'T' shirt.I wear a "wife beater" [ sorry dont know a nice name for them ] under a 'T' shirt and the gun is GONE.

Besides I like his beliefs, and I am not of his religion but like a man that has a firm belief and sticks to it.

btw, he just passed at a young age and suddenly.
