The 229 is a sweet pistol. What a nice shooter.
This is the best picture I have currently. The lighting is not right, but my other pistures must have rolled off of Photobucket due to age.
Someone here in this thread actually said the 229 was too big and too heavy to carry? Only good as a service pistol? Wow. I'm just an average sized ol' dude, but the 228 and 229 (non-railed models, of course) are only the awesomest (non-1911) carry pistols ever produced ... (If you must carry a 9mm -- or a .40 S&W -- it's simply gotta be a 228 or 229).
Anyhow, hit the range today. Prior I cleaned and lubed the heck out my P229, 180 rounds and no issue, I am hitting POA much better and am very happy with this weapon, top shelf piece of machinery.
