Cig Sour will be offering the P226's with the y tu grip similar if not identical to the P229 soon as well. . .

Both show widths of 1.5" per the website so are looking identical at this point. . .

Wait around for a bit and i'll bet you'll be pleased.

Should be great to have the P229 as well for CC.

I bought it for $300 at gun show - lots of slide wear

Sent it to CCR to refinish slide $79

Someone here in this thread actually said the 229 was too big and too heavy to carry? Only good as a service pistol? Wow. I'm just an average sized ol' dude, but the 228 and 229 (non-railed models, of course) are only the awesomest (non-1911) carry pistols ever produced ... (If you must carry a 9mm -- or a .40 S&W -- it's simply gotta be a 228 or 229).

@ don, that Platinum elite is slick.

Anyhow, hit the range today. Prior I cleaned and lubed the heck out my P229, 180 rounds and no issue, I am hitting POA much better and am very happy with this weapon, top shelf piece of machinery.
