I think this is pretty messed up - what do you think?

I normally don't worry about the security of my mailbox because I don't expect anybody to send that much of my relevant personal data TO me through the mail on one handy form.

Then don't ever get a copy of your credit report sent to you. Or have your accountant send you a copy of your tax return.

For goodness sakes, don't hold a professional license of any kind; they might not send your personal information to you in the mail, but that data is all public record, available for anybody to see.

True, I guess there isn't much more info on there that a W-2 wouldn't have. I guess I feel less concerned about this now that I've heard everyone's opinion.

To make a point about postal security, this'll make ya shake yer head.

My mom and dad are of the mindset of, "It hasn't happened so it's not going to."
At Christmas last year, my dad mailed $300 CASH to his 80 year-old brother in Holland. Shockingly, the letter made it but no money. I hadn't known about it until after the fact or I'd have gotten a postal money order for him.

My dad said the clerk at the PO asked my dad if there was cash in the envelope. I don't know the circumstances surrounding the question being asked but he replied to the affirmative. You can guess who my prime suspect is.
