My first revolver I bought was the Taurus M85. It was used and I bought it impulsively and have regreted it because I should have got the .357 to begin with.

Well today I went to the gun store to get a new holster for my 1911, and saw the taurus 605 sitting there staring back at me. It was the exact same looking gun as my .38 (couldn't tell the difference side by side...same color and everything)...So I traded mine for the 357 (with just a little extra cash)..

So...I think it was a good switch. The dimensions between the two are pretty much the same. The 605 weighs just a couple ounces more, and the difference in size can be measured by a hair. Plus, it's a brand new gun!!!

Sorry for the long post, I'm just excited to get a new piece!!

It depends upon how much cash you had to kick in. Taurus revolvers don't cost that much. I might have been tempted to buy the 605 and keep the M85. :p

+1 thats the fastest way to reload a snub

I didn't think it would be very practical to own both models. Plus, I would have got into BIG trouble with the woman...I can hear her now.."You went and bought another gun!!!!BLAH Blah!!!

InnerVision,
It was half a joke about keeping both, that's why the little face at the end. I said I might have kept both because my wife never gives me a problem with anything I buy.

I'm still wondering how much cash you had to kick in. If you don't want to say for some reason, no big deal but it's hard to answer your original question without knowing the whole deal....

ALSO, why did you buy a M605 over a M650 or M651?
