I was wrong about the Glock 17

coolness :)

thanks for the test. a torture test is always an interesting read. most folks won't dunk their guns in mud, but glocks are supposed to be built to perform under such conditions. nice to see it functioned well again in another torture test :)

and drive me crazy when I want a different manufacturer's gun...

I know what you mean. I really want to get an M&P9, but my G17 asks Why? Then I look at the costs of all the extra stuff I need to buy for the gun, like extra mags, holsters, break in ammo and I realize how silly I'm being to buy another polymer 9mm that isn't really any better when it comes down to performance. My glocks just make other purchases seem so impractical. Dang it.

Interesting though, the new SD9 and SD40 doesn't have a completely god awful trigger like the Sigma.

Wouldn't call it good, but not bad either.

I have carried and tested several different handguns in search of a carry pistol that fits me and my needs best. While I enjoyed the majority of them, none of them were able to impress me more than the Glock 17. It is definitely not perfect, but it does what I need it to do. With a set of Warren Tactical sights, a Raven Concealment Phantom holster, Blackhawk Serpa mag carrier, regular dry fire practice, and weekly range trips, My Glock 17 has proved to be a reliable, accurate, and effective carry platform.

I actually shoot the Glock 17 better than the other Glocks I've owned.

Shoot CZs better than Glocks or M&Ps though.
