:D LMAO:D

Sounds like something I would do...... Then have to either explain, or sneak it past the wife..... lol

Talk about explaining! At 2 p.m. the wife sent me to do the grocery shopping at the Super Wal-Mart one mile from home. I drove to the gun shop which is thirty miles away thinking I could squeeze that in since I was only going to pick up a flashlight. Well, you know how long buying a gun can take with all the paperwork and background check. By the time I got back to the Wal-Mart, got gas and did the shopping I realized it was 5:30 and she was waiting for some items I was picking up so she could start making the pepper steak for dinner. She doesn't like guns in the first place and suspects that I have one handgun. She would go through the roof if she knew I was adding number seven to the safe and that doesn't count the ones I've sold.

I know how you feel! I went to a gun show last month to buy some cleaning stuff and mags, and went home with a new Wilson CQB. :D

My wife is still giving me the evil eye... :uhoh:

Hahaha! Gosh, how I know the feeling! :D

I was on my way to Branson MO. once, stopped at Bass Pro Shops in Springfield to pick up some hicking socks I liked. I never made it to Branson, I instead returned home with a new Bass Boat after stopping by Grand Lake O' the Cherokee's for a few hours.

Oh, I do have a boat gun. LOL :D

The story keeps getting better and better! lol

After about one hour my cell phone would have been on fire!!! If you should ever happen to get a cell phone, NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, give your wife the number!!! :D

Hehe.

This night before my 30th birthday I went to a shop to buy a couple of boxes of .38 Specials, because I was taking my b-day off and wanted to shoot my Model 15.

I walked out with a near-mint mid-1920s vintage S&W M1905 M&P, 4th Change, Target Model.

sounds like something ive done went to walmart to grab some 22 ammo and couple things mrs wanted and ended up picking up a beretta shotgun on sale :)

She doesn't have my cell phone number because we have Nextel phones and she just radios me if she needs to get a hold of me. Fortunately she loaned her phone to our son who went to visit his sister in Las Vegas and hunt for a job because he wants to move there (it's pretty cool now that Nextel radios work anywhere on the Nextel system now so he and I have been in contact all week). The wife was standing in the doorway when I pulled in the driveway.

Well, the .357 Sig round can put out quite a muzzle flash. So, you did sort of get a flashlight!

gbelleh,
The next time there is a power failure I'll try that to light up the room. I hope the power isn't out too long; there might not be to much left of the walls.

DigMe,
The wife actually controls the purse strings. I give her my paycheck and she gives me back $160.00 per week. Out of this I buy enough gas for 600 miles of driving per week, eight to ten meals per week away from the house, all my car maintenance, any other pocket expenses, ten day motorcycle trips twice a year, computer equipment, photography hobby, hi-fi hobby, firearms hobby and some of the house maintenance expenses. Naturally I can't partake in all my hobbies at the same time so when I want some music CDs I can't go shooting or put money aside for new firearms that week. I never put toys on a charge card. I never ask my wife how much she lost at the boat (casino) which is her hobby.

When I get back from a gun show my wife (third time's a charm!) wants to see what's new and asks when can she shoot it. She went absolutely wild over the Model 29 .44 Mag I found last month -- too many Dirty Harry movies I guess. She starts flinching after half a box of 9mm in a Taurus PT-92, so I suspect one round will be plenty of fun for her with this one :) She's 105 lbs so 9mm is a lot of gun for her, but she is hot to try the magnum.

Tango Sierra

Dude....you got a problem.....:uhoh:

160.00 is an allowance....you gotta PUT THE SMACK DOWN!!!

If my wife demands my check....we're gonna roll.:p

My brother did the same thing, he was just along for the ride with my other brother who needed to stop by MachineGun Kelly's, he came home with an XD in .357 sig.

I went to San Diego once with full intention of only buying fish tacos...instead i bought a car. it happens.

Congrats on the new springy.

Have to agree---you need to keep YOUR check---and give her an allowance.

Esp. if her pastime is the casino---seen too many guys around here totally finacially hosed because of their wifes spending all their spare time and money in the casino----usually ending in divorce---with the guy left paying the bill.

You should change that situation NOW.

Also--at least with a gun you have something to show for your money----the casino is a losers game with the "house" winding up with everything eventually.

Gotta Watch out for those XD's

I went in to my FN gunshop a couple weeks ago to kill time before work and came home with an XD-9. It was the first one I handeled. It felt so good in the and and the price was so good I had to have it!

Now there's a "man after my own heart"...

I once went to the store for some custom blinds. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes to cut them. So I went across the street and bought a car.

Kinda makes me wonder what else you guys hide from your wives? DIGME

I tried, but it took up too much of the garage. :p

Have I said I went alone to a family reunion and on happenstance found and bought our retirement house without her seeing so much as a digital picture? Separate 1400sf reloading/work shed, 300yd range; it's all we could afford....and there's a 1000yd range 20 minutes away! Oy! and she likes it. I guess I can come out now. :) Go, mofo, Go mofo!:D :D

I've done that too.

"Just a *quick* stop to pick up some range ammo..."

Famous last words...

I walked out of the store with a Performance Center 15-9... :uhoh:

(My favorite so far is the Wilson CQB. How'd you explain THAT one?! Honest, honey, I got it for a hundred bucks!!! ;) )

If things were going better at work i would have walked away witha 454 in Ruger Super redhawk today for 550.. And i jsut went to shoot soem 22..lol
