I think the NRA is giving the crossbow much more support than we realize. I've had three phone conversations with NRA Staff and their nation wide support for the crossbows in archery season is way off the charts. NRA main number 800-392-8683, Darren 703-267-1207, and John 703-267-1141.
Here's a copy of a letter/email I've sent them. All bowhunters opposed to the crossbows during archery season need to rethink their support for the NRA and find other ways to protect their 2A Rights

I signed up last year for a NRA lifetime membership program. I joined the NRA to help defend my 2nd amendment rights not pit gun hunters against bowhunters.
Because of NRA's active and front line support for the crossbow during archery seasons, thus taking my money under false pretenses, I'm asking for my $75.00 back and you darn sure will not be getting the other $925.
I'm going to make sure every bowhunter knows where the NRA stands with regards to destroying bowhunting for what they think is their self gain. It will dearly cost the NRA members in the long run.
