Id these grips?...Photos

The cut down part is from the factory; it allows the empty cartridges to be ejected without interference from the grips.

Those are S&W Target stocks with the speed loader cut out that have been shortened by about 1/4 inch. The picture below is what they should look like.

The coarse checkering makes me think they are replacement grips from SILE Inc.
SILE also used plain brass medallions. HTH

Well Salmoneye is for sure right about one thing...From the serial No. the pistol is a 38 pre model 10 made in early 1956....He Id the gun so I'm going to go with the grip. But what about what smith357 said in reply #31...he seems pretty sure...Mike...There is another thread that shows another close up view of these grips Off the gun that may help...This site will not let me load that photo here because its already been done on another thread...It's not hard to find...Mike
