Man Arrested for Pulling Gun on Golfers

AUSTIN - APD arrested a golfer for pulling a gun on three other local golfers at Lions Municipal Golf Course because they were playing slow. 73-year-old Edwin Dailey was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he threatened to destroy the three other players.

According to an arrest affidavit, three local golfers were playing at Lions Club Municipal Golf Course when they were approached on the back nine by Dailey. Dailey, who was playing behind the golfers, complained about their slow play and inappropriate parking of their golf cart. After a few holes, Dailey told one of the golfers that he would get his gun and make them both equal.

When the golfers finished their round, Dailey re-initiated the confrontation in the parking lot. During a verbal exchange between the golfers, Dailey displayed a Browning handgun and pointed it at one of them. The golfers ducked behind their cars fearing for their life. Dailey took his gun and went inside the clubhouse while the other golfers called 911. Upon returning to the parking lot, Dailey told them, "If I feel threatened, I am morally obligated to destroy you!"

Dailey left the parking lot and soon was apprehended by an Austin City Marshal. He is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second degree felony.

Speedlace, I love that movie and he is one guy just pushed to far.
Thank god no one got hurt on this incident and hope the old man gets some help or loses his guns because it's a tragedy in the making. That is of course on the off chance that the news gave an accurate report.
