If you are in need of a flashlight

I think I'd spend the extra $15 or so and get the Surefire G2 but that's just me.

Likewise - The G2 may be the entry level model for SureFire but it opens up a whole world of options should you want more (or it can be a flashlight for your glovebox). I like my G2's in yellow so they're easier to locate!

>>" I like my G2's in yellow so they're easier to locate! "<<

That's one of the reasons that I bought one in yellow, so I could locate it quickly in case of an emergency. My only quibble with it is that it didn't take long to turn into an ugly ducklin'.. With all the dirt 'n grime that mine has on it, it looks like it came from the factory in coyote brown. :uhoh:

I agree - I have in the past successfully cleaned yellow G2 Nitrolon using warm water and washing up liquid and a nail brush. I do admit to taking out the batteries and lamp assembly and screwing it back together tight. It didn't leak at all though.

Now a days with the LockOut TailCap being phased in to the G2 that isn't a concern at all in my experience.

I believe you can also use replacement lamp assemblies from the G2 on the Maxfire LX.

Whilst the "your experience may vary - consult with the manufacturer" applies, it should be pointed out that I consider dents to be "character marks".

For example - from my M3T:

Note: I do not suggest you throw your flashlight over a house twice and on the third throw miss the lawn and hit the path (concrete).
The P61 remained lit and operational after the impact...

i Am Curious To Ask.

i Am Looking For A Really Really Really Really Really Powerful Flash Light(don't Are How Big But Not To Big) For My Home. I Need One Because Sometimes I Go Outside And Want More Light To See Certain Things.

any Suggestions

Whilst I don't know what you want to look at, nor how far away it is I can not say for certain it is what you need, but the flashlight I use for that sort of thing is the SureFire 10X.

mikep99,

If size is not an issue then take a look at Black Bear's Mag 951 in the for sale forum. That will probably give you the most light for the least money.

Does Anyone Remember Jurassic Park?they Had These Flashlights That Were So Powerful It Was Crazy! I Am Looking For Something Like That.

mikep99,

The Jurassic park light is a Maxa Beam I believe. It will cost you around 1800 bucks and you have to strap the battery pack around your waist. Something like what Black Bear has to offer would be more practical and much cheaper.

I suggest that you may like to visit the "Spotlights/Lanterns/HID" on CPF - There are "HID" options that may be within the price range you find appealing
