I found this sight called a Mojo. It's a peep sight that is adjustable for elevation and windage, and requires no permanant mods. It just replaces the rear sight leaf. I just took it out this weekend and it's great. It really improves the sight picture.

I installed a set on my VZ-24, very nice and work well for me.

If you like these type of sights I would recommend, intallation was a breeze also.

Yeah had one on my AK. Worked pretty well, the windage is a lot easier to fine tune on this than on the front post.

Don't you have trouble centering the front sight in that big rear aperature? I mean, if you took the normal rear sight and opened up the notch until it was as wide as the Mojo, you couldn't shoot tight group anymore, to my way of thinking.

Then again, I haven't tried it.

Have to try it. I can't shoot a tight group with my Yugo 24/47 the way it is. And that front sight is a pain to adjust (have to beat it with a hammer)

I have an old Williams peep sight on a Remington 03A3, works off the same principle as the Mojo or any peep configuration. Your eye automatically centers the front post in the aperture, when you aquire the correct sight picture of your post on the target which is what you should be conentrating on , the aperture will " blur out ". Its how our minds process the sight picture, the aperture is a quick way to get the gun lined up on target, simple sight system that works well. Hope I didnt confuse anyone.

That's it exactly.

You look through the aperture, and focus on the front sight. If you try to center the front sight in the peep, you'll mess up.

It's almost zen-like.

Just wondering how that works for you.

Yeah, at the range or the gravel pit on a clear day, the receiver sight is great. But when it is raining, the water droplets plug the peep. And when it is twilight, you can't see your target. I bored mine out with a 1/8 inch drill bit, and it helped... but still couldn't find the front post if doing a jump shot. Finally drilled and tapped the barrel for a scout mount with a low power scope, and had the best of both worlds. With two-eye shooting, is extremely quick to point.....
