If You Were Glock CEO....

I don’t understand it either. Know the status of your firearm and if one doesn’t than one should check. There shouldn’t be live ammo around when cleaning or working on a firearm anyways.

I personally do not have an issue with having to pull the trigger to remove a slide. Gun safety is first and everyone should be verifying that any firearm they are cleaning or working on is unloaded.

Then again some people refuse to carry striker fired pistols that do not have a manual safety nor trust the trigger safety shoe or firing pin safety plunger. Then there are others that won't carry a 1911 cocked and locked even though there are two safeties that have to be manipulated before it will fire.

To each their own, use/carry what you are comfortable with. 1911's cocked and locked along with striker fired pistols without a manual safety do not bother me one bit.

all gun disassembly procedures start with "remove the magazine and check the chamber to make sure the gun is empty".
so having to pull the trigger shouldnt be a problem.
glock disassembly is so incredibly simple and fast.

some other handguns are way more annoying when disassembling:
remove magazine,
check chamber,
empty the magazine,
reinsert the magazine,
pull the trigger,
remove the magazine,
push in barrel bushing detent,
rotate and remove barrel bushing,
pull slide back halfway,
push slide stop lever up in disassembly notch,
rotate barrel 90 degrees,
release slide stop lever,
pull slide forward off the gun,
rotate barrel 90 degrees,
pull barrel out of slide.

my 3rd model single shot is the easiest:
lift up rear sight,
done.

My Colt SAA is pretty simple.

Check empty.
Push button.
Pull cylinder pin.
Drop cylinder.

Introduce a scaled down/micro .25ACP & .32ACP models. Slim micro guns, scale a Glock 43x down.

Glock would definitely have to manufacture them in the US if they are to be sold in the here. Those pesky import rules with their point system prevent same pocket sized guns chambered in anything less than 9mm from being imported.
