IIRC, these pics are at least 4 years old. The T-34 was deliberately dropped into the water as the Germans retreated West. The muck grew up around the thing afterward.

Very interesting that the tank looks a good as it does. I would like to see what it looks like now also.
On a side note if you click the next msg button on the bottom of the page about 5 times you will see something else that is very interesting. NOT SAFE FOR WORK though.
