Iver Johnson .22 for $25

Had an opportunity to buy this Iver Johnson Sealed 8 eight shot .22 for $25 so I took a chance. Locks up tight and it wasn't abused. No rust, no pitting. Haven't had an opportunity to research its DOB, but they were made between 1931-1957. Very nice holster. I couldn't pass on it.

OK, so you bought a holster for a fair price and it came with a free gun....

..... has anyone told you yet just how much YOU SUCK! ! ! :D

Seriously though. I gather the gun has found a new and appreciative home with you. Enjoy it. They are pretty good shooters. Not up to S&W or Colt accuracy levels but they'll make you smile during any sort of plinking session.

Not a bad plinking gun. The name "Sealed 8" comes from its holding 8 rounds and having flanges on the cylinder, front and rear, to prevent gas escape from a blown case rim or an excessive barrel-cylinder gap.

Thank you JimK! I never knew why they were called a"sealed 8". I always thaught it had something to do with the loading. Now I know ! spence

What an odd price! $25.22??
I for sure woulda JUMPED ALL OVER THAT!!!!!!

True. But at $25.23 it would have been all over. :)

That's a great deal! I always thought they were kinda funny looking with the disproportionately large grips compared to the smaller frame, but I'd still have bought it in a second, and besides, I won't let the form get in the way of good function.
