IL. Rutherford and the 2nd Amendment

I received this email. Contacted his campaign office. This is for real.

Dear John,

You know I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Since Rod Blagojevich became Governor I have seen increased efforts to erode the rights of lawful gun owners in our state. This past Session of the General Assembly we had some legislative successes and obstacles. The effort has been, and I foresee, a constant battle.

The current political make up in our state government is a difficult environment for sportsmen and gun enthusiasts. Gov. Blagojevich has proven time and again that he is not friendly to lawful gun owners. Our challenges with him continue.

Our state does not have Licensed Conceal Carry and we should!

I need your support. Please pitch in, just a little bit, to help me fight the good fight. I am asking like minded supporters of the Second Amendment to contribute $30 towards the effort. Small world, we are in the same district.

I have corresponded with Mr. Rutherford on several occasions.

I encouraged him to run for state wide office, he is exactly what this state desperately needs.

I give him financial support when I can.

Believe him to be a real gem here in Illinois.

I too am one of those unfortunate citizens of Illinois, or Illannoy or Illicago.....Rutherford would be a breath of fresh air for this state that has been run into the ground by the minions of daleyland. Biggest issue for Rutherford will be monetary support. As Blago and his cronies have multi millions already for the re-election war chest. mack

Agreed. In addition to being competent and supporting our cause, he's someone I trust and respect (which is highly unusual of our elected officials here). If you can spare any money at all, send it to him - along with a note explaining that there are thousands of disenfranchised gun owners here who will enthusiastically support him if he tries to help us.
