Illinois Mayor Leaves Bloomberg’s “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” and Calls Out the Gro

Interesting, for sure. Isn't Mayor Bloomberg an Independent as well? My understanding is that he was Mayor for two terms as a Republican, but because of the two-term limit, switched to Independent and financed this campaign with his own money.

I'm not sure, but that looks like it violated the spirit of the two-term limitation, and I wonder if he'll switch to the Democrats for yet another two-term "term." (I hope our Presidents don't start maneuvering like that.)

I think, my opinion only, that he's one of those career powerticians, who are the ruination of freedom.

But I guess if New Yorkers want to go along with that, it's OK by me as long as they keep it in their own bailiwick.

Sorta.

He's made a political calculation, that's not such a bad thing since he must feel his livelyhood on the publics teat is endangered.
The important thing for we the people to remember is that politicians can't be trusted.

It seems like the zealous nature of the anti-gunners is turning off the fence sitters and pushing them to our side. I believe that the way the anti-gunners are trying to force their beliefs down their throats has made them realize that it won't stop at guns and that all of our freedoms are at risk if they give in to their whims. The abuse of power and money to further this agenda has turned off so many people that the antis are actually helping our cause.

Obama has become the person who has put more guns into more hands than anybody in history and now Bloomberg is being responsible for turning fence-sitters into pro-gun (pro-amendment) voters. The uneducated (towards guns) are becoming educated in the fact that this is not about guns but about power and are being turned off by it.

From your keyboard to G-d's ears.

Bloomberg's livelihood doesn't depend on the public teat. He has enough money for the lifetimes of everyone on this forum. He's just a nasty little fascist and can't stop himself.

He's just a bored, little man. Imagine having everything you ever wanted, having more money than you can ever spend and getting close to the end of your life. What do you do with your time? In his case, he's playing puppeteer and he loves watching his puppets dance when he pulls the strings. He's so bored and he has nothing else to do.

“The reason why I joined the group in the first place is because I took the name for what it said. Against ‘Illegal’ guns.”
Then he's too stupid to be assigned a public office. Which is it: he's an idiot for not knowing the agenda of MAIG, or we're the idiots for acceptng this BS about him sincerely not knowing but now realizing?

I hope the little twerp doesn't get twisted and hire someone to take a shot at him, and then blame it on the pro-gunners. That just might get fence sitters on his side again.

If he decides to run for president I would not put this past him to gain sympathy votes. He has nothing better to do anyway.

Ding ding ding....we have a winner.

Bloomberg has enough money he can buy (or build) another mayor to recoup the ones that bail. Unless they all bail and make it much more public, Bloomberg will still have plenty of hot air in his balloon to keep going.
