Several threads on these micro coding and micro stamping trends.

But never too many.

Several other states have similar bills

Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington.

I'd like a specific reference to the "no reloading" part but these bills do cover it anyway in fact that you have to turn in your non coded ammunition..

See, when the ATA decided to move to Sparta, THIS is why I had a problem with it. Not because it was leaving Vandalia, but Illinois being not gun friendly. I got raked over the coals and accused of being " One them Vandalia Boys ". That wasn't the case. Illinois had a history of this kind of stuff before they decided to move it. It's just they didn't do their research. Notice Illinois wants to empose all this stuff and puts forth they hate gun folks, but yet they will darn sure take our monies in August every year.

Cabela's in Hoffman Estates (Cook) is now having trouble because there is a proposed Cook County Ordanace banning a huge list of guns and creating a registery for the remaining ones. Illinois is just bad news for gun owners. I don't know what will happen in Cook, but I doubt this stamping bill is going to succeed. There are some good downstate Democrats that have fended off the semi-auto and .50 cal bans so far, and this proposal is even further out.

Actually the new Cabelas would not be able to sell guns the way it is written.
Another plug for IGOLD 2008 on March 11, we need all the help we can get to prevent this type of travesty. Last year 1500 people stood up to be counted at IGOLD 2007, we hope to double that for this year. Jim.

Naturally, any violent nutjob will have spent hours working up proper loads for his evil plans.

I don't see anyone trying to ban anything for safety's sake. They're just grabbing at whatever fruit they think they can reach, then concocting a story to meet the agenda.

5. It would be in your best interest to destroy all expended ammunition casings because an unaccounted for empty casing could be used to frame you for a crime you did not commit.

This is a big issue. But even if you hammer a case flat you might be breaking some law along the lines of obliterating a serial number on a firearm. Plus someone could still dig a flattened case out of a dump site and sprinkle it at a crime scene.

But, still, someone has to come up with a means to actually make this a functional reality.

And of course, they will need warrantless searches to find those terrorists who don't turn in their ammo, plus a blanket "shoot to kill" authorization for the police when approaching anyone who might have a gun.

And Obama, Daley's mouthpiece, says he supports the Second Amendment and individual gun rights! What a liar!

"State Senator Gray Tollison (D-9), is Chairman of the Senate Judiciary B Committee, to which SB 2286 has been referred. Chairman Tollison opposes SB 2286 and wants you to know that he will not bring this bill up for consideration in his committee (effectively killing the bill for the session). "

Mississippi slammed the marking legislation, too.

I read about the three senators who brought it up and was not surprised at all. What loons.

Yep, it would never occur to the highly educated and warped diabolical genius to just buy the stuff.
