I'm afraid to get my barrel threaded? Should I be?

I have a Bersa Firestorm 22LR

I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a new barrel... but I'm just concerned about getting the right gunsmith or machinist or whatever ya wanna call 'em... to do the right job. I ran across a couple videos of guns that were angled down... and I don't want to ruin my PERFECTLY aiming pistol like that. That's bull:cuss:.

So... how do I do this right? I think the barrel is attached to the frame, which is why this gun is so accurate.

Contact Tornado Tech or ADCO and see if they can fit your barrel with a threaded extension. Otherwise you will have to find an aftermarket barrel that is longer than the standard and has enough meat on it to thread and have a decent shoulder for the can to lock up on.

Guess I'll hit 'em up tomorrow. Is there a phone number I can call them at? Website? Email?

Anybody know where I'd get an aftermarket barrel that's longer than the standard?

I think I'm just gonna go with the TAC65 or STRATUS by Tactical Innovations.

They say in their FAQ that they won't thread the barrel for me, but that they'll offer me a few "pointers" to tell my local gunsmith or machinist...

Sounds reasonable to me.
