Winter has been extra long this year. It's snowing again today, almost 13 inches already and they say we'll get more tonight.

I've loaded about all I have components for (I'll be shooting for years before I whittle down the piles). I can't get to the range cause of the weather and roads. I've cleaned about everything I own. Built all my projects. I really need some suggestions. Ideas? (Can't cast because I need to do that outside or I'd have cast about a million boolets already!)

Ideas?

Write, call, and/or email all of your elected representatives to voice displeasure over gun laws - be polite and offer solutions, not just gripes

I write to my representatives up to several times a week. Other times I call them. Believe me, they know me on a first name basis. Do I think it does any good? In the case of Casey and Schwartz, who are nothing but rubber stamps for the dempcrap party, probably not, but I do it regardless. It's important that they know how we feel.

Keep the suggestions coming......

Itemize everything you've got and put a current market value on it. Make sure you have makes, models and serial #s (with values) of firearms and put copies in separate places.

Other than that maybe pick up the phone and call that person that you keep procrastinating on. Usually extended family or friend you haven't seen in years.

Check on your neighbors and ask if they need anything.

Snow shoes. They're cheap and work great.

Stop whining, and get out and shoot. :)

I shot twice this week so far, and will probably go again tomorrow. Shooting in the snow is good practice and a good workout. Sucks for auto loader brass recovery though. :(

Thats fine, its beautiful revolver and bolt gun weather. :)

Ive been loading non stop like you as well. 9mm, 357/38, 45Colt, .223, 30/30 and 45/70 mostly.

Just got an email today, Precission Delta shipped my last order of 2000 9mm bullets today. Their backlog is down to 45 days from 18 weeks! Just in time too, finished up my last 1000 last week.

Mid South shipped my 30/30 bullets on Monday, and Wideners my 5.56 bullets yesterday. Back in business. :D

Since you have so much ammo;create a contest. Offer 1000 rounds to the THR member who writes the best response to "Why the second amendment matters to me" (or some similar topic). Spend time narrowing the field. Announce your results. Everybody wins.

I bring a tarp. With proper tarp placement, brass loss is minimal.
I tried that and didnt have much success. I move around to much when I shoot. Id have to stand still, or get the tarp to follow me around . :)

Check out the Olympics women's down hill if you can. Very sporty and easy on the eyes.

Speed skating not so much.

Pick up another hobby. I might suggest ham radio for communicating when you can't get out, or maybe some time to learn another language.

Shooting and all it entails is great, but there are other things you can enjoy too. You don't have to eat, drink, and sleep guns all day long.

How's your woodworking? Do you know how to sew? How's your cooking? Maybe some exercise (not implying anything), maybe something to challenge you, maybe something you've never done before to keep your mind fresh and your perspective dynamic.
