I'm glad... and disappointed.

The Education Committee of the Arkansas Legislature passed the college carry bill to the full House for consideration. However, it was only after the author amended it to allow individual colleges to "opt out" and deny the right to keep and bear arms to employees. Knowing what I know about college administrators, the representative who sponsored the bill may as well have pulled it. Even if the bill is passed by the state legislature (50-50 IMO) and signed by the governor (1 in 10 IMO) I seriously doubt even one college will allow concealed carry if the administration can deny it.

Oh well.

That was a bad bill. It is nothing but to look like politicians are voting for something pro 2nd, but in reality the bill accomplishes nothing.

It does not shock me considering how restricted an Arkansas CHL is as far as TWENTY off limits locations.
