They now have an entire section of blackhawk retention holsters (the ones a step down from the serpa), AR quad rails, rail covers, AR replacement handles, punch knives, and rubber slip on grips.

They're all made by blackhawk and its not the selection of a local gun store, but its nice to see a big store stocking MORE AR items after a tragedy that less or pulling the "evil" items from the shelves.

I'd say about half of the rifles had been sold as well (few of which were ARs). Appears guns are selling well here in NC as well.

Mine has these. I saw one months ago and didn't take a pic, then no one would believe the mighty Colt was available there. So they got more in and now I can prove it.

One of the ar's that was sold was a dpms 308. At this rate they'll be selling pmags and vests.

Those colts ar too tempting.

Here in MD we don't sell those (nose-in-the-air...sniff, sniff)...things...in family stores.

So I built mine, even though I lived in Atlanta at the time. :)

Avoid WM as much as possible. Just have no desire to deal with the idiots that the stores attract in such quantities (not all obviously but enough). I'd also much rather spend a few extra $ and buy from my local gun shop. Everyone whines and complains when WM took the guns out, called them the enemy and such but they bring 'em back and everyone's right back there. People complain about corporate greed, yet head to WM, the king of corporate bullying. Everyone gets up in arms if a business does anything at all considered anti-2A yet they then go right back to WM. No thank you! When the small shops are gone, who ya gonna go to when WM takes the guns out yet again? Who ya gonna go to for the more specialized stuff WM won't sell?

I've never had an anti-gun experience at wal-mart, well from the walmart staff I should say. I open carry there every time I go, not a single bad experience. Doesn't look like the small stores are hurting either. A new one opens every couple of months too. Even the gun companies have done anti-gun things, but we still buy from them. If you penalized every company indefinitely then you'd have no one left to buy from.

Main point about walmart stocking these items isn't that I'm going to buy them, its that they decided to stock them during a time the media or public could blast them and call them merchants of death or w/e tagline is popular right now. Its probably 99% likely that they're selling them for a profit only and dont care about gun rights, but hey, welcome to capitalism. Profit is king.

I don't go to Wally World because their service stinks and they never have what I want in stock. I don't subscribe to the whole "big bad evil" stuff, though. I do think it's cool they are stocking more shooting gear in your area. How competitive are their prices?

I saw a sign on the gun cabinet at my local Walmart that promoted "accessories for your 'modern sporting rifle'".... i.e. VFG's, grips, lights and mounts, and other mall-ninja essentials. The terminology and the fact that they advertise carrying them made me chuckle, though not in a bad way.

If there's a buck to be made, Walmart will get into it. Tactical is "in" now, and i reckon all this talk of legislation ON TOP of election year panic will only increase sales.

As an aside, i was at Bi-Mart (a Northwest membership discount store chain) the other night and was rather surprised to see PMags on the shelf.

I find it humorous that people wanted to boycott WM because they were not selling enough guns and when they bring them back with more selection than they had before, that is not good enough.

WM sells what they can sell. If the market is such that they can make a buck at it, they will sell it there. That is the American way after all.

I don't think a store manager putting things on the shelves that he believes will increase revenue for his store is something really to be proud of... well, beyond having good business sense anyways, and there is a good amount of pride justified from that I suppose.

It is something we could afford to be thankful for though.

I have three Wal-Mart "Supercenters" in my city alone, and one firearms "showroom" that would rival the best offered by Gander Mountain or Dick's. Even with those in place, new "gun shops" still keep opening up. Time will tell, though, how well they do.
I've only bought ammo at the WMs, though, and one of them recently stopped carrying it, though I think that's only temporary.

I was at my local wm yesterday getting a new fishing license when a guy walks up asking where the AR accessories were at. the guy behind the counter had no clue what he was talking about so the guy goes you know assault rifles lol. Did notice they had 2 colts in the high 700s though for the first time.

Make no mistake, Wal-Mart is not pro-gun. Wal-Mart is pro money.

My AR was bought there and the wife is headed there right now. I would prefer not to step foot in that place.

I don't go to Wal-Mart much anymore.

My wife is handicapped and needs an electric cart. The ones at Wal-Mart it seems, are always broken, or the batteries are dead.

I did buy a few guns there before though.

I prefer to spend money at locally-owned mom and pop stores. BUT: There aren't any to go to that, in one stop, I can get:
ammo
targets
hamburger
bread
beer
fuel
gas cans
live bait
windshield wiper blades
school supplies
rubber boots
underwear
ibuprofen
water filters
etc, etc. The list only grows.

Sounds like a helluva party at your place this weekend!:D

the BATFE shoudn't be a gov't agency, it should be a party supply store or a section inside walmart...:D
