Hi, a week or so back a brilliant image was posted here of a c & b being fired at night.

I cannot now find the image.

Could anyone point me to it or post another copy.

With the owner's permission, I would like to copy this down, enlarge it and print it out. The intention is to use it as a 'safety' part of a promotional get together I am putting on to drum up more local BP shooters for the club.

There's some more flaming gun images including these below by
Smokin_gun and Tallship in a previous thread titled "Walker at night":

I retrieved this from another forum and don't have the attributes; it's perhaps the best way to show how the hot gasses surround the cylinder while the sparks are directed outward when discussing chain fire ignitions.

Note in the close up of the Remington how the hammer is blown back a little by the back thrust through the nipple a source of cap jams in many guns.
If I recall the photo of the colt with the hammer back has to do with the photo exposure and is not being blown back to full cock.
Man, you sure can tell how flame goes everywhere. No wonder my hands get so DIRTY.

Cool I didn't even notice that until you pointed it out. Now I just wonder what my Optima looks like in the dark?

My thanks to all of you - that was a swift and great response.

Mykeal - that was exactly the image that I was after as that has the total story wrapped in it.

thanks again
