I disagree. There are numerous property owners who would be delighted to rent a few parking spaces to someone as long as local zoning and business permits allow. You would be hard pressed to find a parking lot where you can setup shop for a long term.
In the DFW area its not uncommon to see tax preparation services, food trucks, windshield or dent repair and seasonal shops like florists or shaved ice stands appear in a parking lot. How long they stay depends on the lease terms. It might be Friday and Saturday nights 8pm-midnight for a food truck or May through September for a shaved ice stand or a week in February for a florist stand. Heck, a year ago you couldn't drive two miles without seeing a popup "Free Covid19 test" tent or trailer.
That's wholly and completely different than having a rental or lease arrangement with the property owner. Some places like Wal-mart don't even like truckers parking in the lot for more than one night. And if they say go, you have to otherwise you face a trespassing charge.
See post #48Even if you did find a place to stay, like one of those pop up firework stands, your FFL application would have to be that address. No adding the wheels back on to setup shop town over without applying for a new or updating your FFL.
