Ive heard the same thing "over the internet" but Ive yet to see this with mine,or any XD that my friends have come across. Maybe the same "high bore axis" bogeyman naysayers are responsable?
Yeah - recoil sensitivity seems to be a highly subjective 'thang.
Folks like to argue paper points, yet I constantly see folks saying gun X is the softest shooting gun they have, yet it has a "high bore axis".
I don't worry 'bout it too much - I just shoot the dang thing and don't whine!
I have seen folks gripe 'bout the grip safety, but being an old 1911 guy it never bothered me. Some trainers (who shall remain nameless, but obviously worship at the alter of GLOCK) like to knock the XD's grip safety.
Never bothered me, 'specially since I'm an old 1911 guy.
You don't want a grip safety? Fine, iff'n they were to give it to ya, they'd probably up the trigger pull weight - then we'd have a whole new round of whining.
BTW - years ago when I bought my first polymer pistol, I went to the store, checked 'em out, came home and did my research (research first, buy second), and walked out with a Sigma!
Didn't take much research even way back then to find out GLOCK Perfection was...not so much.
Not a GLOCK hater - they just never fit my hand that well, and research indicated they weren't perfect. A lot of folks way back then loved to hate on the Sigma, apparently because it was a GLOCK copy (I don't care - that's between the companies).
I see a lot of the same hatin' going on with the XD, although folks seem to be slowly coming around (what stage of denial would that be?).
